Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gaetan Louvet got the match started through his kick off. If Gaetan Louvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 played minutes Chieulles got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Lhuissier. 11 minutes into the game, Josselin Mathelin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Laurent Moizan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute Josselin Mathelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurent Moizan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Alex Baylet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Barthelemy Souverain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chieulles's supporters rose to their feet, but Barthelemy Souverain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Matignon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barthelemy Souverain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Michel Matignon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josselin Mathelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laurent Moizan having to make a save. Manissieux's Michel Matignon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serge Guenard in the 39th minute of play. Barthelemy Souverain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Michel Matignon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Manissieux's goal looked a bit too open when Serge Guenard came free, but Michel Matignon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Manissieux were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serge Guenard was the one to do the kick off. Michel Matignon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barthelemy Souverain, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Laurent Moizan had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gaetan Louvet from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaetan Louvet in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurent Moizan saved Chieulles from getting behind. After 64 played minutes Chieulles got a freekick which was hit by Alex Baylet. 74 minutes into the game, Barthelemy Souverain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Michel Matignon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Josselin Mathelin's late challenge caught a Chieulles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josselin Mathelin helped the player get up and apologised. Josselin Mathelin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Barthelemy Souverain took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel Matignon. Michel Matignon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Chieulles's Laurent Moizan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaetan Louvet in the 87th minute of play. After 93 played minutes Manissieux got a freekick which was hit by Philibert Michelin. Chieulles's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
