The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pierre-Olivier Barreteau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Basile Chovet charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basile Chovet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Sofiane Bouclet came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Garonne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sofiane Bouclet couldn't finish the play. Sofiane Bouclet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pierre-Olivier Barreteau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gildas Delamarche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Perus having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Brandon Chaussat notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Garonne's Kevin Perus. Kevin Perus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaston Ripoche charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Ripoche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 20 minutes into the game, one of Wambrechies:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wambrechies's Gildas Delamarche got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lucas Neveux came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Garonne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Neveux couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute of the match, Sofiane Bouclet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierre-Olivier Barreteau saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute, Lucas Neveux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brandon Chaussat struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Kevin Perus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wambrechies. In the 44th minute, Brandon Chaussat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Perus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee gave Wambrechies a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Loic Chanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Garonne's Kevin Perus. 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Neveux was the one to do the kick off. Serge Chalot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Kevin Perus made a huge save. Gildas Delamarche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the game, Gilbert Patte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garonne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wambrechies the free kick. The supporters of Wambrechies booed when Garonne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Patte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Garonne's zone, Brandon Chaussat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Perus came out of the goal and Brandon Chaussat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 played minutes Wambrechies got a freekick which was hit by Loic Chanu. After having played for 71 minutes, Serge Vincendeau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garonne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serge Vincendeau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute Brandon Chaussat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Perus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Garonne defense, Gildas Delamarche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Perus. The Garonne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Perus should have stopped the shot. If Gildas Delamarche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gildas Delamarche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Kevin Perus made a huge save. If Lucas Neveux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildas Delamarche got free with Kevin Perus in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serge Vincendeau during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Garonne got a freekick which was hit by Serge Vincendeau.
