Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rudy Lequeux started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Valerien Lagorce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurice Migot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Grun in the 6th minute of play. Bruno Augendre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rene Perdriau having to make a save. If Bruno Augendre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rudy Lequeux came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Avignon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Lequeux couldn't finish the play. If Rudy Lequeux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Augendre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rene Perdriau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Mesclans got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Emo. After having played for 33 minutes, Bruno Augendre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avignon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Augendre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anthony Emo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Avignon's Maurice Migot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Grun in the 36th minute of play. Jean-Michel Julliard hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Avignon's Maurice Migot got control of the ball when Jean-Michel Julliard tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Grun made a kick off. A collision led to Mesclans getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Valerien Lagorce hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Avignon's Bruno Augendre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Perdriau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Mesclans booed when Avignon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathys Weigel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avignon's Rudy Lequeux got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute Rudy Lequeux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Perdriau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Josselin Vernay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benoit Chapron was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Adam Grun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mesclans's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Rudy Lequeux scored to the left of an out of position Rene Perdriau, making the score, 0-2. Bruno Augendre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Perdriau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Dilan Leroyer hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Bruno Augendre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rene Perdriau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
