The audience was convinced that Donovan Nowicki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raymond Paviot was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Stephane Delcambre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerome Romeo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Reynald Dufraisse sent off a good shot on target. Jimmy Barry helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lascours booed when Bouquiniére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Barry didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Reynald Dufraisse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raymond Paviot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Goyard in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephane Delcambre to make the kick off. Bouquiniére's Jerome Romeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynald Dufraisse in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Lascours's goal looked a bit too open when Donovan Nowicki came free, but Raymond Paviot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Reynald Dufraisse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
