In the 5th minute, Edmond Boe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jules Ravier, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 8 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hippolyte Charlemagne was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donald Vernet in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hippolyte Charlemagne saved Moruel from getting behind. If Gaston Le Bastard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thise's Calvin Vicente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Thise from getting a goal against them. In the 18th match minute, Moruel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul-Henri Beney to maneuver through the defense. Reda Taquet hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jules Perocheau during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Moruel getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jules Perocheau hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Fouche in the 22nd minute of play forced Moruel's goalkeeper Hippolyte Charlemagne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Jules Ravier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calvin Vicente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Baradel, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Hippolyte Charlemagne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Fouche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claude Fouche was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes, Thise's Tanguy Lucien shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hippolyte Charlemagne came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thise reached it. Calvin Vicente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Le Bastard in the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Moruel's zone, Claude Fouche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hippolyte Charlemagne came out of the goal and Claude Fouche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Claude Fouche dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hippolyte Charlemagne, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Gaston Le Bastard put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Calvin Vicente. Antoine Baradel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Calvin Vicente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gaston Le Bastard came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Moruel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Le Bastard couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Gaston Le Bastard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Calvin Vicente was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Moruel were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Thise for a fine match.
