Romuald Marlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Musy, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurent Defontaine made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justin Musy got free with Romuald Marlin in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Franklin Deal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romuald Marlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justin Musy in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Arenberg defense, Jean-Baptiste Chouquet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddy Drouillard. The Arenberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddy Drouillard should have stopped the shot. Arenberg's Justin Musy got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Laurent Defontaine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Justin Musy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romuald Marlin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jean-Baptiste Chouquet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arenberg's Eddy Drouillard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Jean-Baptiste Chouquet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Drouillard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Bras's Jean-Baptiste Chouquet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eddy Drouillard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arenberg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
