If Hector Boitard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Camille Le Faou came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Colombier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camille Le Faou couldn't finish the play. Aime Jourdren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Châtelet, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Camille Le Faou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ewan Labre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aime Jourdren having to interfere. The supporters of Mure booed when Colombier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Venon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Colombier's Aime Jourdren got control of the ball when Ewan Labre tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Ewan Labre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aime Jourdren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Châtelet in the 72nd minute of play forced Colombier's goalkeeper Aime Jourdren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Colombier's zone, Claude Châtelet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aime Jourdren came out of the goal and Claude Châtelet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Valerien Noirot fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombier's protests and gave Valerien Noirot a yellow card for diving instead.
