With a little luck, Houppeville's Tom Leverrier got control of the ball when Charly Pinguet tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 5th match minute, Vernaison was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lionel Mathiot to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vernaison booed when Houppeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Veillet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Leverrier having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Vernaison's Mathias Ribeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Josselin Maugendre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Poitou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vernaison getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jean-Baptiste Ros hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Paul Veillet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vernaison getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mathias Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Paul Piquard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josselin Maugendre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Poitou, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mathias Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tom Leverrier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Leverrier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Houppeville's Tom Leverrier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eymeric Malot in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Vernaison's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bruno Poitou fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 56th minute, Houppeville's Paul Piquard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The supporters of Vernaison booed when Houppeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Demagny didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Mathias Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Leverrier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Houppeville's Manuel Demagny got a free kick in the 66th minute. Josselin Maugendre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Piquard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eymeric Malot kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Eymeric Malot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Poitou's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Josselin Maugendre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Charly Pinguet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Piquard in the 87th minute of play forced Vernaison's goalkeeper Josselin Maugendre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josselin Maugendre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Poitou in the 88th minute.
