Gilbert Beguin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Emo in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Pechbonnieu getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernand Couillard during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vurey booed when Pechbonnieu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernand Couillard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert Beguin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Charles Marchal, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the game, Auguste Arpin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pechbonnieu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vurey the free kick. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pechbonnieu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brice Chevron was slow to take the kick. During this time Vurey's players had a chance to rest. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pechbonnieu's goalkeeper Gilbert Beguin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pechbonnieu players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vurey.
