Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karl Hamel kicked off to start the match. Chevalon's Harold Darnaud got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute of the match, Harold Darnaud got a very nice opportunity to score, but Manuel Lhotellier was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Hugues Roseau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. After 28 minutes, Marius Agez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chevalon and the Cormery players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes Chevalon got a freekick which was hit by Marius Agez. In the 31st minute, Maurice Jacqueline ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berenger Manceau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 36th minute Karl Hamel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lhotellier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berenger Manceau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Jacqueline in the 43rd minute of the match.
A collision led to Cormery getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cesar Goyon hit a great ball. Marius Agez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lhotellier having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Maurice Jacqueline managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cormery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Jacqueline was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cormery booed when Chevalon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Agez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berenger Manceau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Jacqueline, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Hugues Roseau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Jacqueline fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berenger Manceau having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Cormery got a freekick which was hit by Celestin Gaubert. The supporters of Chevalon booed when Cormery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynald Baudier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Lenne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Lhotellier. Cormery's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cormery's Hugues Roseau got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 minutes of play, Cormery's Maurice Jacqueline made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berenger Manceau was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cormery's Manuel Lhotellier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Hamel in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Karl Hamel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chevalon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Hamel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Karl Hamel came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Chevalon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Hamel couldn't finish the play. Harold Darnaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harold Darnaud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cormery walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
