The supporters of Sergy booed when Baume was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Ribaud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergy's Bixente Jouve couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Baume. In the 24th match minute, Sergy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Carlotti to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Sergy's goalkeeper Paulo Cousin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tristan Hell. In the 30th match minute, Sergy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Carlotti to maneuver through the defense. Jason Desvignes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Baume's Eloi Hochard got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Melvin Chastang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reda Mallard was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 43 minutes into the match, Baume's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Campo came free, but Reda Mallard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloi Hochard kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Tristan Hell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roland Campo was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Baume was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloi Hochard to maneuver through the defense. Reda Mallard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Campo's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Tristan Hell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Roland Campo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Baume's Corentin Monnereau got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melvin Chastang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corentin Monnereau's late challenge caught a Sergy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corentin Monnereau helped the player get up and apologised. If Tristan Hell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reda Mallard made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Melvin Chastang sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Sergy's Reda Mallard threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roland Campo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Hell in the 86th minute of play forced Sergy's goalkeeper Paulo Cousin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Firmin Letard's late challenge caught a Sergy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Firmin Letard helped the player get up and apologised. Firmin Letard kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Tristan Hell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eloi Hochard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
