Beynost's Hervé Schaeffer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Beynost from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxence Victorin during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bévange's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beynost the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Bévange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivier Aubier to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Reynald Alard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a good free kick, Reynald Alard got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Bévange. Reynald Alard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Ballester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. When Richard Guermeur fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bévange's protests and gave Richard Guermeur a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Bévange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Guermeur to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Beynost's goal looked a bit too open when Olivier Aubier came free, but Hervé Schaeffer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Beynost's Reynald Alard got a free kick in the 30th minute. Reynald Alard charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynald Alard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Beynost getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Reynald Alard hit a great ball. Bévange's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Le Bon in the 36th minute. David Le Bon made a great header on Bévange's corner, it was just that Beynost's Hervé Schaeffer managed to reach the ball for a save. 38 minutes into the match, Bévange's goal looked a bit too open when Sofiane Duverger came free, but Carlos Ballester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benoit Delecourt charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benoit Delecourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Bévange got a freekick which was hit by Benoit Delecourt. After 44 played minutes Beynost got a freekick which was hit by Sofiane Duverger. Hervé Schaeffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olivier Aubier in the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Augustin Schatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bévange's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Schatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After a rather tough play, Beynost's Maxence Victorin got a free kick in the 54th minute. Olivier Aubier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hervé Schaeffer having to interfere. Reynald Alard got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Beynost's Reynald Alard got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Sofiane Duverger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olivier Aubier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hervé Schaeffer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hervé Schaeffer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olivier Aubier, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Hervé Schaeffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Schatz in the 72nd minute of the match. Hervé Schaeffer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivier Aubier in the 86th minute of play. Hervé Schaeffer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Schatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st match minute, Beynost was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxence Victorin to maneuver through the defense. Hervé Schaeffer came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bévange's Olivier Aubier. But to his dismay, Olivier Aubier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The Beynost players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bévange from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
