Damien Brugere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre-Henri Weiss charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre-Henri Weiss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ostheim getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Pierre-Henri Weiss hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnabe Laigneau in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damien Brugere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bastien Beney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Valency got a freekick which was hit by Dilan Melon. In the 17th minute of the match Lenny Trognon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joris Joubin skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Valency's Joris Joubin got control of the ball when Bastien Beney tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dan Bruder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valency's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Bruder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damien Brugere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Valency's Joris Joubin got control of the ball when Pierre-Henri Weiss tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnabe Laigneau in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damien Brugere saved Ostheim from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Dan Bruder made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Pierre-Henri Weiss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Joubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastien Beney in the 52nd minute of play forced Valency's goalkeeper Joris Joubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bastien Beney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gregory Sauzeau fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valency's protests and gave Gregory Sauzeau a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Valency getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. When Gregory Sauzeau was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. After 65 played minutes Valency got a freekick which was hit by Gregory Sauzeau. If Bastien Beney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joris Amy kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Damien Brugere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barnabe Laigneau in the 75th minute. Bastien Beney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antony Casas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joris Joubin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Bastien Beney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joris Joubin having to make a save. Ostheim's Antony Casas got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
