Robert Paulin's late challenge caught a Orly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Paulin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wingles's Robert Paulin got a free kick in the 11th minute. Orly's Bernard Marcy got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xavier Loir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basile Becu in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Bernard Marcy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teddy Schaeffer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Didier Delage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Teddy Schaeffer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Teddy Schaeffer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Didier Delage made a huge save. Didier Delage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Marcy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Orly's zone, Joe Valembois stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Loir came out of the goal and Joe Valembois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes Orly got a freekick which was hit by Andre Degryse. A collision led to Orly getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Bruce Rouchon hit a great ball. Wingles's Joe Valembois got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernard Marcy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jean-Marie Liard hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Andre Degryse shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Didier Delage showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 57th match minute, Orly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Buffiere to maneuver through the defense. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Xavier Loir. Xavier Loir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basile Becu in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute Teddy Schaeffer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Delage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
