Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Noe Anselme took the kick off in the first half of the match. Noe Anselme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoit Laumond having to interfere. Jordan Bourgeat might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benoit Laumond. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jordan Bourgeat ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 18 minutes, Jordan Bourgeat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sète's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jordan Bourgeat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Saleux's Mohamed Rosse got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Noe Anselme came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sète fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noe Anselme couldn't finish the play. Noe Anselme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benoit Laumond having to make a save. Sète's Alfred Gilibert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sète from getting a goal against them. Benoit Laumond came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Sète's Jordan Bourgeat. But to his dismay, Jordan Bourgeat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Frayssinet in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Gilibert saved Sète from getting behind. 53 minutes into the game, Alfred Frayssinet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alfred Gilibert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute Alfred Frayssinet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Gilibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Gilibert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerien Riffard in the 60th minute of the match. Alfred Gilibert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Frayssinet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Gilles Le Gac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Valerien Riffard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Gilibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Frayssinet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alfred Gilibert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Valerien Riffard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Gilibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Valerien Riffard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfred Gilibert. Sète's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valerien Riffard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Alfred Gilibert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valerien Riffard in the 88th minute of play. Saleux's Alfred Frayssinet got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valerien Riffard might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Gilibert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valerien Riffard ran back to his position shaking his head. Sète's Alfred Gilibert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Frayssinet in the 94th minute of play. Saleux's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
