With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Philippe Banse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 played minutes Moscou got a freekick which was hit by Jules Jenny. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucien Reine got free with Jean-Philippe Banse in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paul-Henri Fontes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jean-Philippe Banse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Savreux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucien Reine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gagnac walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
