The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Poisat booed when Epiré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martial Jeanneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Poisat's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Bouret came free, but Julien Fabre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steven Crepy hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Poisat getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bruno Marcq hit a great ball. Martial Jeanneau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alex Grivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Ouali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Franck Loridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Crepy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Grivet was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Poisat's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Martial Jeanneau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Hermier's late challenge caught a Epiré's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Hermier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Poisat getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Daniel Hermier hit a great ball. Poisat's Alex Grivet got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Grivet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carl Bouret might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julien Fabre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Bouret ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes into the match, Epiré's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Grivet came free, but Franck Loridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Poisat's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carl Bouret fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gaspard Zielinski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franck Loridan. Epiré's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carl Bouret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Ouali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Franck Loridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Epiré's Martial Jeanneau in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poisat's goalie prevented a goal. Julien Fabre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Bouret in the 70th minute of the match. Carl Bouret scored 0-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julien Fabre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Steven Crepy kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rene Ouali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alex Grivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
