Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Faustin Deudon kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Villeneuve's zone, Faustin Deudon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Cazeneuve came out of the goal and Faustin Deudon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baptiste Parquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelien Scherer having to interfere. Aurelien Scherer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremy Le Moullec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Benoit Guinard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villeneuve's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vigen the free kick. After a rather tough play, Villeneuve's Benoit Guinard got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Faustin Deudon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Cazeneuve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Villeneuve's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mario Chambaud fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The long shot by Romeo Faugeron in the 24th minute really tested Freddy Cazeneuve's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 25th minute, Faustin Deudon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Freddy Cazeneuve. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 29th minute, Jeremy Le Moullec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean-Francois Defosse, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mario Chambaud's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Freddy Cazeneuve firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Faustin Deudon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Faustin Deudon came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Vigen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustin Deudon couldn't finish the play. Villeneuve's Freddy Cazeneuve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustin Deudon in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baptiste Parquet to make the kick off. Aurelien Scherer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Le Moullec, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Mario Chambaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelien Scherer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baptiste Parquet in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremy Le Moullec got free with Aurelien Scherer in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mario Chambaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Villeneuve getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Benoit Guinard hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Vigen's Jean-Francois Defosse broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baptiste Parquet in the 90th minute of play forced Vigen's goalkeeper Aurelien Scherer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustin Deudon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Freddy Cazeneuve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
