Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jocelyn Bros took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Bouzigues's goal looked a bit too open when Jocelyn Bros came free, but Malik Hild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Castagniers booed when Bouzigues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Thibert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Malik Hild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jocelyn Bros, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Roman Ryckewaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Forestier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. John Flandin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Roman Ryckewaert put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of John Flandin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norbert Mange during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bouzigues fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Castagniers's Moise Rigot got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Malik Hild. Allan Donzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bouzigues's Robert Thibert got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Bouzigues's Malik Hild played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jocelyn Bros in the 35th minute of play. John Flandin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Forestier's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Roman Ryckewaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Xavier Forestier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bouzigues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Forestier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Roman Ryckewaert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bouzigues's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Ryckewaert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Flandin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Xavier Forestier came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Bouzigues fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Forestier couldn't finish the play. Roman Ryckewaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Flandin having to interfere. After the first half Bouzigues were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Ryckewaert made a kick off. When Allan Donzel came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Castagniers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Donzel couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, Bouzigues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludovic Agez to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Castagniers's goalkeeper John Flandin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Thibert. Malik Hild took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jocelyn Bros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jocelyn Bros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malik Hild having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Barthelemy Cabanel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castagniers and the Bouzigues players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jocelyn Bros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malik Hild having to interfere. Xavier Forestier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but John Flandin made a huge save. Barthelemy Cabanel kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Allan Donzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Bouzigues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludovic Agez to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bouzigues's Honore Carbon got a free kick in the 100th minute. 100 minutes into the match, Castagniers's Moise Rigot broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Bouzigues supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bouzigues would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
