Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 10th minute, Bruno Cuvelier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Cuvelier in the 12th minute of play forced Larcay's goalkeeper Joel Devillers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Louis Guilleux fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Larcay's protests and gave Louis Guilleux a yellow card for diving instead. Louis Guilleux hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Djimmy Breheret was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Larcay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cavernes the free kick. In the 16th minute, Djimmy Breheret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Cuvelier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Devillers having to interfere. After 21 minutes of play Larcay's Louis Guilleux was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 21 played minutes Larcay got a freekick which was hit by Louis Guilleux. 24 minutes into the match, Bruno Cuvelier notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Larcay's Joel Devillers. Joel Devillers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Xavier Decker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cavernes's zone, Gabriel Borrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Chaulet came out of the goal and Gabriel Borrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Borrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Chaulet having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Anthony Piraud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute of the match, Gabriel Borrel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabian Chaulet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bruno Cuvelier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Borrel was the one to do the kick off. Fabian Chaulet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Roulleau in the 52nd minute of play.
