The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Havard in the 4th minute of play forced Houplines's goalkeeper Eloi Naud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Frederic Cognet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marius Gatignol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis Lechartier having to interfere. If Sam Havard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloi Naud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Havard in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Sam Havard made a precise shot to the right of Eloi Naud. Houplines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The corner ended in Joseph Villot almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Houplines's Eloi Naud did a great save. Houplines's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmond Marchet in the 45th minute. The corner ended in Malcom Paque almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nerthe's Louis Lechartier did a great save. Marius Gatignol received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodrigue Izard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eloi Naud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Havard was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Nerthe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 60 minutes of play, Nerthe's Rodrigue Izard made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloi Naud was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sam Havard kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Sam Havard fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Eloi Naud. Eloi Naud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigue Izard in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute, Sam Havard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Gatignol in the 78th minute of play forced Nerthe's goalkeeper Louis Lechartier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Louis Lechartier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Gatignol in the 80th minute of the match. Marius Gatignol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nerthe's Louis Lechartier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Gatignol in the 93rd minute of play. Malcom Paque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
