The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Paul Goin during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jean-Paul Goin hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Bryan Brunier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Joey Saint-Germain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Canabias's goal looked a bit too open when Joey Saint-Germain came free, but Karim Guerault reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Canabias's zone, Joey Saint-Germain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Guerault came out of the goal and Joey Saint-Germain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joey Saint-Germain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Martens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Crombez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Bryan Brunier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Guerault saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canabias's Karim Guerault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Brunier in the 33rd minute of play. Joey Saint-Germain might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karim Guerault. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joey Saint-Germain ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bryan Brunier to make the kick off. Ramzi Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Crombez having to interfere. Axel Croissant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute, Pierre-Olivier Michot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joey Saint-Germain succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bouillargues played a much better game than Canabias and deserved their victory. The Canabias players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
