Davy Jamme charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davy Jamme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 10 minutes, Sacha Caillaud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vernaison's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sacha Caillaud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renaud Vernhet in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Guerreiro saved Vernaison from getting behind. Gilles Leleus short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Jeremy Landrin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Sacha Caillaud kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeremy Landrin. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. With a little luck, Malintrat's Jeremy Landrin got control of the ball when Gilles Leleu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Renaud Vernhet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Junior Guislain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaud Vernhet struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Renan Guerreiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malintrat. Jeremy Landrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sacha Caillaud in the 37th minute of the match. Gerald Reboux hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Vernaison's Adrien Graux tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renaud Vernhet to make the kick off. Leon Silly's late challenge caught a Malintrat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Silly helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Vernaison got a freekick which was hit by Leon Silly. 58 minutes into the game, Gilles Leleu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jeremy Landrin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renaud Vernhet in the 68th minute of play forced Vernaison's goalkeeper Renan Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renaud Vernhet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Renan Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vernaison's Renan Guerreiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Vernaison from getting a goal against them. If Gilles Leleu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Junior Guislain made a precise shot to the right of Renan Guerreiro. Vernaison's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
