After the first half Massy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steve Haag to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Tommy Bourmaud sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damien Valles skillfully saved the ball. 62 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Massy's Francis Reinhardt fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When Steve Haag came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Carvin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Haag couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes, Carvin's Tommy Bourmaud shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damien Valles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carvin reached it. 72 minutes into the match, Massy's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Genevois came free, but Damien Valles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Massy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Emmanuel Thebault to maneuver through the defense. Teddy Duhamel struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Damien Valles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carvin. If Steve Haag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Jean-Michel Joye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Massy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Michel Joye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Brown was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francis Reinhardt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 93 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Massy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
