A collision led to Talloires getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Eugène Mazy hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Talloires's Michel Pageot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc-Antoine Catala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marc-Antoine Catala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Pageot in the 15th minute of the match. Michel Pageot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Didier Destouches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Pageot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-Antoine Catala having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Christian Deville got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, one of Talloires:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Talloires. Aurelien Bouret shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Deville to strike the kick off in the second half. Courchelettes's Marc-Antoine Catala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Pageot in the 55th minute of play. If Christian Deville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talloires's Anthony Guin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didier Destouches in the 66th minute of play. Christian Deville received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Anthony Guin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc-Antoine Catala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Croze in the 73rd minute of play. Jean Thiriat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jean Thiriat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Guin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Deville, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 minutes of play, Courchelettes's Jean Thiriat made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anthony Guin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Courchelettes's Marc-Antoine Catala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Pageot in the 91st minute of play. Courchelettes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
