A collision led to Bréauté getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alfred Ginestet hit a great ball. If Jean-Christophe Gillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. Erwin Thibaut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bréauté. Noel Berthaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gregoire Douguet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Berthaud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregoire Douguet having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Christophe Gillon in the 26th minute of play forced Bréauté's goalkeeper Gregoire Douguet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Noel Berthaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Jean-Christophe Gillon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gregoire Douguet, passed just outside the right post. In the 33rd minute, Bréauté's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Noel Berthaud fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jean-Christophe Gillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Lory hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Magne's goal looked a bit too open when Philibert Cosse came free, but Erwin Thibaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean-Christophe Gillon was the one to do the kick off. Philibert Cosse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Philibert Cosse notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Magne's Erwin Thibaut. Erwin Thibaut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Charles Urien during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute, Jean-Charles Urien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Christophe Gillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregoire Douguet having to interfere. In the 68th minute Jean-Charles Urien suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 68 minutes into the game, Camille Moyon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bréauté's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magne the free kick. Camille Moyon kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Philibert Cosse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francois-Xavier Provost's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Erwin Thibaut skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute Philibert Cosse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Thibaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabien Bouthier got free with Erwin Thibaut in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Francois-Xavier Provost managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bréauté's supporters rose to their feet, but Francois-Xavier Provost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Thibaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francois-Xavier Provost's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin Thibaut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Magne's Achille Lory got a free kick in the 86th minute. Noel Berthaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gregoire Douguet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achille Lory struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Gregoire Douguet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magne. Magne's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
