The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 20th minute, Marc-Antoine Paillart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arnold Dilly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sabri Meloni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantenay's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabri Meloni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Axel Judith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prosper Vitse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Cuvillier having to interfere. Sabri Meloni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Axel Judith when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Julien Bondoux fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cantenay's protests and gave Julien Bondoux a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cantenay! Victor Cuvillier went to the wrong direction when Gilles Cabanne was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Vernouillet's Prosper Vitse in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cantenay's Victor Cuvillier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prosper Vitse in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Prosper Vitse notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Cantenay's Victor Cuvillier. Victor Cuvillier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute of the match Hugues Tosi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Cuvillier skillfully saved the ball. Julien Bondoux kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Sabri Meloni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Axel Judith read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
