After a defensive mix-up in Montgermont's zone, Edouard Castera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximilien Loth came out of the goal and Edouard Castera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaac Taillez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darren Vandenbroucke during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Sentinelle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Vandenbroucke to maneuver through the defense. Sentinelle's Wilfried Henaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Rouault in the 26th minute of play. Theophile Kayser charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theophile Kayser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Sentinelle a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sylvain Laisney, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Montgermont's Maximilien Loth. 0-1. When Germain Gand fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montgermont's protests and gave Germain Gand a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Montgermont's Wilfried Henaut threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaston Rouault, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Antony Dreux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Montgermont's Maximilien Loth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Taillez in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Isaac Taillez made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montgermont's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sylvain Laisney was slow to take the kick. During this time Sentinelle's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Sentinelle's Edouard Castera getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Isaac Taillez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximilien Loth, 0-3. The supporters of Montgermont booed when Sentinelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Laisney didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samy Audinet in the 66th minute of play forced Sentinelle's goalkeeper Wilfried Henaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edouard Castera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximilien Loth having to interfere. Antony Dreux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfried Henaut having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the match Samy Audinet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilfried Henaut skillfully saved the ball. Wilfried Henaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Rouault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antony Dreux scored 1-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfried Henaut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sentinelle walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
