Lionel Pieri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donovan Vernay in the 7th minute. Karim Guenot kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leysse's goalkeeper Lionel Pieri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Donovan Vernay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Germain Roguet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Rouaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Eck in the 46th minute of play forced Leysse's goalkeeper Lionel Pieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 played minutes Leysse got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Cotard. Rene Eck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karim Guenot was the one to do the kick off. In the 95th minute, Patrick Rouaud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Leysse eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
