With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jimmy Fourquet in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Philippe Marsal saved Gargenville from getting behind. Gargenville's Jean-Philippe Marsal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Bouret in the 12th minute of play. Jean-Philippe Marsal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Fourquet in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Herve Ledent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Chelles's Jimmy Fourquet in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gargenville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joris Page was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Alban Perinet fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alphonse Peixoto, passed just outside the right post. Joris Page sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillaume Bouret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jean-Philippe Marsal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joris Page sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Gargenville defense, Jimmy Fourquet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean-Philippe Marsal. The Gargenville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean-Philippe Marsal should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Chelles booed when Gargenville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cedric Lestienne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joris Page struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Alphonse Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gargenville. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joris Page in the 60th minute of play forced Chelles's goalkeeper Alphonse Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Herve Ledent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Philippe Marsal made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Guillaume Bouret sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Guillaume Bouret lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Jean-Philippe Marsal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Guillaume Bouret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelles's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillaume Bouret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Philippe Marsal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jimmy Fourquet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jean-Philippe Marsal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jimmy Fourquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gargenville's Jean-Philippe Marsal got control of the ball when Guillaume Bouret tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 82 played minutes Gargenville got a freekick which was hit by Cedric Lestienne. In the 83rd minute, Guillaume Bouret left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chelles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Jimmy Fourquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Philippe Marsal having to interfere. A collision led to Gargenville getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cedric Lestienne hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gargenville's Cedric Lestienne got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Jean-Philippe Marsal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Fourquet in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chelles eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
