When Rodolphe Drapier fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Planque's protests and gave Rodolphe Drapier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Rodolphe Drapier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Elias Leducq sped through Beigneux's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Sohier. Jean Helie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Elias Leducq cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alex Sohier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beigneux's Alain Legrix shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Madjid Abidal but with some difficulty. In a very dangerous position, a player in Planque fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! After having played for 30 minutes, Étienne Dekeyser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Planque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Étienne Dekeyser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute of the match Dominique Jacquemond shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Sohier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jean Helie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Madjid Abidal made a huge save. Elias Leducq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alex Sohier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baptiste Cau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Jean Helie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Leducq to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Alain Legrix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Planque got a corner. Beigneux's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Diego Houeix ran over to the corner to take the kick. Planque's Diego Houeix was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alex Sohier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Beigneux booed when Planque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolphe Drapier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Madjid Abidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Helie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Blanchot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Madjid Abidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Blanchot scored 2-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Madjid Abidal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Blanchot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madjid Abidal having to interfere. If Baptiste Cau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Helie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Madjid Abidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Joel Blanchot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Madjid Abidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Planque players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Beigneux.
