The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Rayer in the 4th minute of play forced Lille's goalkeeper Valentin Richy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Titouan Gacon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bans's Marius Lafon got a free kick in the 14th minute. Ilan Berthelier kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Lille's Allan Nedelec got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lille booed when Bans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omer Teissedre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Nedelec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Redouane Chotard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Titouan Gacon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Richy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Frederic Christin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lille's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederic Christin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lille's Frederic Christin got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Allan Nedelec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan Nedelec was the one to do the kick off. Allan Nedelec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valentin Richy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Rayer, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederic Christin in the 66th minute of play forced Bans's goalkeeper Redouane Chotard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lille's goalkeeper Valentin Richy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Richy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Rayer in the 75th minute of the match. Titouan Gacon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frederic Christin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Redouane Chotard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Nedelec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
