Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jolan Baux started the match with the kick off. Tristan Limoges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghislain Aufrere in the 5th minute of play. Florent Depret struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Desire Le Baron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monti. Desire Le Baron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jolan Baux in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Monti booed when Lesquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valerien Bleuze didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Luc Jasmin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Desire Le Baron showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Monti's zone, Ghislain Aufrere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tristan Limoges came out of the goal and Ghislain Aufrere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jolan Baux in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desire Le Baron saved Lesquin from getting behind. Desire Le Baron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florent Depret in the 24th minute of play. Bryan Carret's late challenge caught a Lesquin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryan Carret helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Monti getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bryan Carret hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ghislain Aufrere in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Limoges saved Monti from getting behind. Lesquin's Ghislain Bertout got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Monti's Tristan Limoges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghislain Aufrere in the 36th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alphonse Studer during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Desire Le Baron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jolan Baux's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Lesquin's Ghislain Aufrere sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tristan Limoges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ghislain Aufrere was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Monti's zone, Ghislain Bertout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tristan Limoges came out of the goal and Ghislain Bertout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Monti's goal looked a bit too open when Ghislain Aufrere came free, but Tristan Limoges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desire Le Baron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jolan Baux, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Florent Depret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Ghislain Bertout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Limoges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryan Carret kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Monti's goal looked a bit too open when Ghislain Aufrere came free, but Tristan Limoges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ghislain Bertout came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Lesquin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ghislain Bertout couldn't finish the play. If Florent Depret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monti's goalkeeper Tristan Limoges, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florent Depret got free with Desire Le Baron in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
