In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Illzach's goalkeeper Romuald Vallette, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ghislain Lefrere came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Gallice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ghislain Lefrere couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Allan Martz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romuald Vallette was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Gallice's Allan Martz got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Cedric Bruder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronan Huguet. Gallice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cedric Bruder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Illzach's zone, Ghislain Lefrere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romuald Vallette came out of the goal and Ghislain Lefrere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ghislain Lefrere was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Illzach's Ethan Imbert got a free kick in the 76th minute. Romuald Vallette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ghislain Lefrere in the 77th minute. After 79 minutes of play, Illzach's Cedric Bruder made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronan Huguet was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cedric Bruder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cedric Bruder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cedric Bruder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Illzach's Dimitri Delbarre got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Illzach's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
