When Wambrechies's William Arrault in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peypin's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Noiret in the 10th minute of play forced Peypin's goalkeeper Bob Certain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Arrault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Peypin's zone, Gilbert Noiret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bob Certain came out of the goal and Gilbert Noiret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bob Certain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Noiret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Certain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Arrault in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, William Arrault had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Certain. Peypin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Arrault was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, William Arrault managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wambrechies's supporters rose to their feet, but William Arrault was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Certain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brian Dachicourt during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bob Certain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Arrault's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Marvin Charnay made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Christopher Saintot sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute Paulo Goyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marvin Charnay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Goyer made a kick off. When Michael Chevillon fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peypin's protests and gave Michael Chevillon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Michael Chevillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Wambrechies's William Arrault dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. If William Arrault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bob Certain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Arrault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Peypin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Chevillon to maneuver through the defense. If Gilbert Noiret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Arrault recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th match minute, Wambrechies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djibril Lebouc to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match Peypin got a corner. Wambrechies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cedric Rio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Michael Chevillon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marvin Charnay quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute, Gilbert Noiret fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bob Certain, passed just outside the right post. Peypin's Bob Certain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Arrault in the 87th minute of play. If Gilbert Noiret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Paulo Goyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Wambrechies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Seys to maneuver through the defense. Wambrechies's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
