Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Billy Imhoff got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raphael Duchemin during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raphael Duchemin hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Francois-Xavier Amat from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Lucien Bonnaire's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 8th minute Billy Imhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Bonnaire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Donald Demont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Grigny's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Cornette came free, but Lucien Bonnaire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes Grigny's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Francois-Xavier Amat who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Billy Imhoff got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lucien Bonnaire quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Augustin Cornette struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Lucien Bonnaire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quetigny. If Billy Imhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Cornette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes Quetigny's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brian Fauquet who took care of the corner kick. Grigny's Brian Fauquet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emeric Branche in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

65 minutes into the match, Billy Imhoff notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Grigny's Lucien Bonnaire. Lucien Bonnaire was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Quetigny getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Arnaud Duprey hit a great ball. Augustin Cornette might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucien Bonnaire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augustin Cornette ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Demont in the 75th minute of play forced Quetigny's goalkeeper Emeric Branche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donald Demont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emeric Branche having to interfere. Joel Pasquini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute of the match, Donald Demont tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emeric Branche saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emeric Branche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Pasquini in the 85th minute. Joel Pasquini in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emeric Branche, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 89th minute, Quetigny's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donald Demont fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 92nd minute Billy Imhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Bonnaire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grigny players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quetigny.
