If Marius Bouissou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Quincampoix's zone, Mamadou Pouyet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samy Tourne came out of the goal and Mamadou Pouyet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Marius Bouissou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samy Tourne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Garlop getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Joe Subtil hit a great ball. John-Paul Monnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynald Magniez in the 18th minute of play. Robert Maigrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. John-Paul Monnet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mamadou Pouyet in the 30th minute of play forced Quincampoix's goalkeeper Samy Tourne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Quincampoix's Reynald Magniez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind John-Paul Monnet. John-Paul Monnet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Richard Pierrel's late challenge caught a Quincampoix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Pierrel helped the player get up and apologised. Richard Pierrel hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th play minute Robert Maigrot came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised John-Paul Monnet. 2-0. Samy Tourne came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Garlop's Mamadou Pouyet. But to his dismay, Mamadou Pouyet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. John-Paul Monnet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynald Magniez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samy Tourne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Bouissou in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reynald Magniez to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Mamadou Pouyet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Mamadou Pouyet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garlop's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quincampoix the free kick. Mamadou Pouyet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Samy Tourne made a huge save. Igor Chapel charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Chapel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Valentin Rolle in the 82nd minute really tested Samy Tourne's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Quincampoix getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Erwin Boudry hit a great ball. In the 85th match minute, Garlop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyril Risser to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Quincampoix getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Steve Rosa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quincampoix's zone, Mamadou Pouyet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samy Tourne came out of the goal and Mamadou Pouyet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Robert Maigrot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quincampoix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Maigrot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Garlop getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Richard Pierrel hit a great ball. Garlop's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
