Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tourtoule's Joey Curtet started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luc Giudicelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darren Bayet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Désiré Demaison, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Joey Curtet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcel Grandgirard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Joey Curtet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martinsart's Marcel Grandgirard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Hugo Gass got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marcel Grandgirard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luc Giudicelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Darren Bayet managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Martinsart's John Borde fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Désiré Demaison struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Darren Bayet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martinsart. Joey Curtet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Désiré Demaison made the kick off in the second half. John Borde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Bayet having to interfere. John Borde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Darren Bayet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erwin Sebert hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th of the match, Joey Curtet tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Marcel Grandgirard got in the way and made a wonderful save. If John Borde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, John Borde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darren Bayet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Borde in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darren Bayet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Martinsart's Marcel Grandgirard got control of the ball when Luc Giudicelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Tourtoule getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Frederic Poquet hit a great ball. Martinsart's John Borde got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luc Giudicelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Curtet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcel Grandgirard having to make a save. After having played for 92 minutes, Désiré Demaison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martinsart's supporters crossed their fingers, but Désiré Demaison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute, Tourtoule's Joey Curtet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcel Grandgirard. Marcel Grandgirard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
