After a defensive mix-up in Evry's zone, Pascal Coudert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillaume Machado came out of the goal and Pascal Coudert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Pascal Coudert notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Evry's Guillaume Machado. Guillaume Machado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Baptiste Fleche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cammas's supporters rose to their feet, but Baptiste Fleche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillaume Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Chapel charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Chapel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Cammas a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. If Pierre-Olivier Vion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Baptiste Fleche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cammas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Evry the free kick. A collision led to Cammas getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Baptiste Fleche hit a great ball. Guillaume Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basile Aussel in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Cammas booed when Evry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Benard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascal Coudert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillaume Machado having to interfere. In the 30th minute Pascal Coudert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillaume Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascal Coudert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
