In the 20th minute, Darren Bourlon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Côme Darbon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Jenlain's zone, Malik Devaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Ferran came out of the goal and Malik Devaux tried to chip the ball over his head. The audience was convinced that Erwann Boucaud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregory Ferran was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 38th minute Erwann Boucaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Piriou was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
