In the 3rd minute of the match Marc Poupart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Morgan Daumas skillfully saved the ball. Edouard Decker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edouard Decker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Rieulay getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alexis Burnel hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerzat's Damien Paillart slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Morgan Daumas. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Damien Paillart tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Morgan Daumas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Gerzat:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rieulay:s goal. Ghislain Sanz went to the wrong direction when Eddy Gougeon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Serge Bouziane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morgan Daumas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edouard Decker in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the game, Leonard Sabatie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rieulay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gerzat the free kick. Djimmy Yvinec hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Gerzat were awarded a corner. Hubert Alex went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Gerzat's corner Edouard Decker fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Morgan Daumas quite easily take care of the ball. Edouard Decker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Morgan Daumas made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raymond Gleyze in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ghislain Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerzat's Hubert Alex got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Hubert Alex off the ground. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Edouard Decker made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edouard Decker in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morgan Daumas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Morgan Daumas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edouard Decker, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Gerzat's Flavien Bonnet got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Gerzat getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Flavien Bonnet hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Aime Tardif sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ghislain Sanz skillfully saved the ball. In the 74th match minute, Gerzat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavien Bonnet to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serge Bouziane in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ghislain Sanz saved Gerzat from getting behind. Rieulay's Serge Bouziane pulled a muscle in his back after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Marc Poupart charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Poupart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 78 minutes into the game, one of Gerzat:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edouard Decker in the 88th minute of play forced Rieulay's goalkeeper Morgan Daumas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Rieulay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djimmy Yvinec to maneuver through the defense. Flavien Bonnet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Morgan Daumas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. If Edouard Decker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rieulay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
