In the 5th match minute, Peillon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Garnaud to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Chris Gaume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honore Archimbaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cesar Puissant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camille Moullec in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Moisy saved Vernouillet from getting behind. A collision led to Peillon getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Moise Lacroix hit a great ball. Cesar Puissant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honore Archimbaud in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Honore Archimbaud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vernouillet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cesar Puissant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludovic Fleck in the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 51 minutes, Ludovic Fleck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vernouillet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludovic Fleck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vernouillet's zone, Camille Moullec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Moisy came out of the goal and Camille Moullec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Vernouillet's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Sainte-Rose came free, but Michael Moisy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peillon's Cesar Puissant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludovic Fleck in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moise Lacroix during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cesar Puissant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vernouillet walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
