Wambrechies's Cyril Wild proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Wambrechies from getting a goal against them. Stephane Chabot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-Baptiste Bardy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Jeanne in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Wambrechies's goalkeeper Cyril Wild had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddy Valenti. Wambrechies's Stephane Chabot got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hector Dufourg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Freddy Valenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mezelly's Jean-Baptiste Bardy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Jeanne in the 29th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Fabian Jeanne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mezelly's Jean-Baptiste Bardy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Freddy Valenti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyril Wild having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Mezelly's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Jeanne came free, but Jean-Baptiste Bardy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stephane Chabot to strike the kick off in the second half. Stephane Chabot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Baptiste Bardy having to interfere. If Stephane Chabot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Wambrechies booed when Mezelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Henri Lecourtois didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Freddy Valenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Valenti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cyril Wild tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Freddy Valenti came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Mezelly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Valenti couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute of the match, Stephane Chabot tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jean-Baptiste Bardy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fabian Jeanne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jean-Baptiste Bardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Stephane Chabot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Baptiste Bardy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
