Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Crosne's Malik Buet started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hector Laporte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelien Ferrie in the 2nd minute of play. Antonin Barbaud's late challenge caught a Crosne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonin Barbaud helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Antonin Barbaud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Malik Buet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christopher Moretti hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Mulhouse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustin Limouzin to maneuver through the defense. When Faustin Limouzin fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mulhouse's protests and gave Faustin Limouzin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Faustin Limouzin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludovic Carlet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmond Balle. Mulhouse's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Faustin Limouzin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. After 31 played minutes Mulhouse got a freekick which was hit by Faustin Limouzin. When Malik Buet came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Crosne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malik Buet couldn't finish the play. Edmond Balle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prosper Courtine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonin Barbaud who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Hector Laporte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Prosper Courtine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmond Balle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malik Buet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthieu Barthomeuf kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonin Barbaud to make the kick off. Prosper Courtine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mulhouse fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Prosper Courtine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prosper Courtine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Balle having to interfere. Malik Buet received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmond Balle came out and tried to block the shot, but Malik Buet slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 66th minute. If Malik Buet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmond Balle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malik Buet in the 78th minute of play. Antonin Barbaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the match, Mulhouse's goalkeeper Edmond Balle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prosper Courtine. Antonin Barbaud scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Laporte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Mulhouse getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Germain Malin hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes, Crosne's Ludovic Carlet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmond Balle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Crosne reached it. Malik Buet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
