Mundolsheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonin Barbaud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Malcom Pernin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelien Ferrie went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Olivier Jany's late challenge caught a Mulhouse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olivier Jany helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Mundolsheim got a freekick which was hit by Olivier Jany. Ghislain Fay shot from long distance in the 43rd minute, but Edmond Balle was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Malcom Pernin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonin Barbaud in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Aurelien Exbrayat made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mulhouse booed when Mundolsheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martial Aubourg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Aurelien Ferrie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malcom Pernin made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Antonin Barbaud sent off a good shot on target. Edmond Balle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelien Exbrayat in the 77th minute of the match. Mulhouse's Alix Morisset got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mundolsheim getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Albert Audibert hit a great ball. Aurelien Ferrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malcom Pernin made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Antonin Barbaud sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Olivier Jany put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Edmond Balle.
