Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Montagny's Ewan Fresnais started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Dimitri Bouchut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Monnereau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitri Bouchut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Monnereau having to interfere. Maxence Dauvergne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ewan Fresnais in the 13th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Dimitri Bouchut got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 1-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Loic Bidault elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Etienne Boureau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 27 minutes, Theo Gendry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montagny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Gendry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maxence Dauvergne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ewan Fresnais, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes, Loic Bidault mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marinel and the Montagny players grew even worse after the yellow card. Loic Bidault hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Remi Costantini struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Maxence Dauvergne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montagny. Loic Bidault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Monnereau having to interfere. Loic Bidault's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Monnereau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Marinel's Etienne Boureau seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Etienne Boureau the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Marinel protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Etienne Boureau had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Marinel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montagny:s goal. The referee gave Montagny a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Theo Gendry, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marinel's Maxence Dauvergne. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Loic Bidault in the 52nd minute of play forced Montagny's goalkeeper Michael Monnereau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxence Dauvergne made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Remi Costantini sent off a good shot on target. Celestin Micheau hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Loic Bidault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Paul Wozniak hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Bob De Smet hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Tristan Chausson's late challenge caught a Montagny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tristan Chausson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marinel getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tristan Chausson hit a great ball. Maxence Dauvergne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Wozniak in the 76th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Marinel got a freekick which was hit by Theo Geoffray. Montagny's Theo Gendry couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Marinel. Marinel's Maxence Dauvergne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Marinel from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Marinel's zone, Ewan Fresnais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxence Dauvergne came out of the goal and Ewan Fresnais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the game, Montagny's Remi Costantini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxence Dauvergne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
