The supporters of Limonest booed when Napollon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Rouat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Fernand Levallois had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronan Israel. Napollon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernand Levallois was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Aurélien Briquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Napollon's Ronan Israel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurélien Briquet in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Limonest booed when Napollon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Cade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurélien Briquet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronan Israel made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Fernand Levallois sent off a good shot on target. If Fernand Levallois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zinedine Betton kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Aurélien Briquet struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ronan Israel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limonest. Fernand Levallois in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ronan Israel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Jean-Marie Boivin came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Napollon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Marie Boivin couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the game, Mario Cade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Napollon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limonest the free kick. After a rather tough play, Napollon's Mario Cade got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Limonest's goal looked a bit too open when William Sainte-Rose came free, but Amaury Rigaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amaury Rigaud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavien Decker went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marie Boivin in the 42nd minute of play forced Limonest's goalkeeper Amaury Rigaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Limonest's zone, Flavien Decker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amaury Rigaud came out of the goal and Flavien Decker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Jean-Marie Boivin made the kick off in the second half. Flavien Decker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amaury Rigaud having to interfere. Amaury Rigaud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavien Decker in the 56th minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Napollon's goalkeeper Ronan Israel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The goalkeeper, Amaury Rigaud, was totally fooled by Napollon's Gabriel Rouat, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ronan Israel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernand Levallois in the 79th minute of play. Amaury Rigaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marie Boivin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Limonest getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Sylvain Fischer hit a great ball. Jean-Marie Boivin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amaury Rigaud having to make a save. In the 82nd play minute Flavien Decker came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amaury Rigaud. 1-3. Napollon's Jean-Marie Boivin got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavien Decker got free with Amaury Rigaud in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronan Israel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernand Levallois, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Napollon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
