Leopold Lemonnier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarod Chatelet, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Jarod Chatelet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Douvrin's Jarod Chatelet in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grignon's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysse Goutorbe got free with Gregoire Kieffer in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jarod Chatelet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douvrin's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarod Chatelet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopold Lemonnier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luka Mairot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregoire Kieffer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Jarod Chatelet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopold Lemonnier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hocine Denise in the 27th minute of the match. Leopold Lemonnier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarod Chatelet went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute of the match Herbert Lucchini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopold Lemonnier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leopold Lemonnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarod Chatelet in the 36th minute of play. Gregoire Kieffer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luka Mairot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luka Mairot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luka Mairot was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Douvrin's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Mairot came free, but Gregoire Kieffer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysse Goutorbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregoire Kieffer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarod Chatelet got free with Leopold Lemonnier in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysse Goutorbe in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregoire Kieffer saved Douvrin from getting behind. Gregoire Kieffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luka Mairot in the 62nd minute of the match. When Jarod Chatelet came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Douvrin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarod Chatelet couldn't finish the play. When Hocine Denise got free in front of the goal in the 68th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Leopold Lemonnier was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Jarod Chatelet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopold Lemonnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hocine Denise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Grignon getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jeremy Wartel hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grignon's zone, Jarod Chatelet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopold Lemonnier came out of the goal and Jarod Chatelet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luka Mairot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregoire Kieffer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysse Goutorbe in the 80th minute of play forced Douvrin's goalkeeper Gregoire Kieffer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregoire Kieffer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luka Mairot's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 85th match minute, Grignon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Olivier Koenig to maneuver through the defense. Antonin Chazot was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jarod Chatelet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopold Lemonnier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hocine Denise showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 90 minute of play. After 94 minutes, Jordan Gavard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douvrin and the Grignon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Luka Mairot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregoire Kieffer was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Douvrin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grignon.
