After a rather tough play, Orvault's Hector Salle got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Graney's Fabian Hoffmann suffered a concussion after 10 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrice Viennet during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Graney booed when Orvault was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrice Viennet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Alexis Sonntag managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Graney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Sonntag was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Graney's zone, Ewan Normant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Vandevelde came out of the goal and Ewan Normant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Joubert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herve Champy in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ewan Normant in the 32nd minute of play forced Graney's goalkeeper Raymond Vandevelde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrice Viennet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Ewan Normant had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Vandevelde. Graney's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ewan Normant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
