Redouane Castera charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Redouane Castera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Noyer booed when Edange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Redouane Castera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregory Lemarechal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamine Mauvais, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With an all-out effort, Edange's Daryl Delmon threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Redouane Castera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emile Combaz's late challenge caught a Noyer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emile Combaz helped the player get up and apologised. Emile Combaz kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Bacary Murat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregory Lemarechal. Edange's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Dilan William had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute of the match, Dilan William got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daryl Delmon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Noyer's goalkeeper Daryl Delmon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dorian Lory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Edange's goal looked a bit too open when John-David Deleris came free, but Gregory Lemarechal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dilan William sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamine Mauvais struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gregory Lemarechal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noyer. After a defensive mix-up in Edange's zone, John-David Deleris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Lemarechal came out of the goal and John-David Deleris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 39 minutes, John-David Deleris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noyer's supporters crossed their fingers, but John-David Deleris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Noyer's Daryl Delmon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Noyer from getting a goal against them. Lamine Mauvais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gregory Lemarechal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dorian Lory made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Lory in the 55th minute of play forced Noyer's goalkeeper Daryl Delmon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Laurent Malbec sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daryl Delmon skillfully saved the ball. A wasted opportunity for Edange. 71 minutes into the match, Edange's Dorian Lory sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daryl Delmon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute, John-David Deleris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Edange's zone, John-David Deleris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Lemarechal came out of the goal and John-David Deleris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 88 minutes, Fabrice Guille mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Noyer and the Edange players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes Noyer got a freekick which was hit by Fabrice Guille. After 92 minutes, Dilan William mouthed his way into the referee's book. After a rather tough play, Edange's Dilan William got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Bacary Murat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noyer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edange the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Edange had won after a very even match.
